The Library offers various reading challenges throughout the year for readers of all ages. Most challenges can be completed on paper or virtually via Beanstack.
Below is a list of our current and upcoming reading challenges.
2025 Online Reading Challenge: Genres
January 1 - December 31, 2025 | Ages 18+
Spend the year reading a different genre each month. Read the suggested title for the month, or choose one on your own. This reading challenge is low-pressure and ideal for someone who wants to read more.
Participate on Beanstack or use one of our challenge bookmarks. Bookmark logs are available at Library desks.
April Library Love Reading Challenge (Beanstack Only)
April 1 - 30 | All Ages
Celebrate National Library Week (April 6-12) and spread the library love this April! Libraries are the heart of a community, so explore all your local library has to offer from April 1-30. Pick up a new book, explore resources available at your library, and earn virtual badges along the way as you share in the April Library Love! Enter the tickets you earned into our drawing for a chance to win a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ages 0-6
Enjoy reading 1000 books with your little ones! Log reading and earn badges and prizes all along the way. Visit the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten page for more information.
