Summer Reading Program 2018

The Davenport Public Library’s Summer Reading Program offers free programs for kids and teens all summer long! Our READ WILD summer, sponsored by the FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library, is a partnership with the Figge Art Museum and a celebration of the world of Where the Wild Things Are.

Stop by any Davenport Public Library location from June 1st through July 31st to pick up a reading log, or print one here starting on June 1st! Here's how it works:

Kids - click here to print your reading log!

  • Color in one monster tooth every time you read 1 hour or 1 book
  • After 5 hours or 5 books, pick out a Wild Rumpus toy prize
  • After 10 hours or 10 books, choose a pair of sunglasses and a brand-new book
  • When you're done, enter the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card, a STEM basket, a Where the Wild Things Are basket, or a Play Outside basket
Teens - click here to print your reading log!

  • Read 3 books and get a maze pen and a free book
  • When you're done, enter the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card, a Stranger Things basket, a Booknerd basket, an Artist basket, or an MLG (Gamers) basket!
