Downtown library closes for carpeting

The city of Davenport reports that because of carpet renovations, the Main Library, at 321 Main St., will be closed beginning today through Dec. 23.

Creative Arts Academy Ribbon-Cutting

The Davenport Community Schools officially opened the new Creative Arts Academy that is located at the Davenport Public Library on Thursday Oct 2nd.

Library has help for teens who stutter

Summer reading program blasts off

As pop shot up several feet in the air out of two-liter bottles and red-colored vinegar foamed out of small paper cups, kids and adults alike got a reminder of how fun the library and reading can be. These simple volcano experiments and other science activities kicked off the Davenport Public Library's Fizz! Boom! Read! summer program.
